Our Countryside and Ecology Based Services
Green Ways initially concentrated on Rights of Way contracts for local authorities and forged close links with the Sussex Downs National Park. The work included foot path and bridle path clearance, installation of post and rail fencing, stiles, gates and foot bridges throughout Sussex. The company then expanded into working on local nature reserves for conservation agencies such as the National Trust and Sussex Wildlife Trust, undertaking grassland management and associated works.
It was not until we became involved in animal mitigation projects that we began to extend our client base working alongside ecologists, developers and engineering companies. Most development sites require animal mitigation works prior to the commencement of building works. We can help arrange this and provide specialist fencing to assist with the removal of endangered and protected species such as badger, lizard and other reptiles, water vole, newt and other amphibians. We then assist with destructive searches prior to the release of the land to the developer.
